City of Saluda Receives Funds for Water and Sewer Initiative

McGill Associates’ recently assisted the City of Saluda with securing a low interest loan in the amount of $1,910,660 from the United States Department of Agricultural, Rural Development to benefit the City’s water and sewer project.

The McGill Associates’ team provided preliminary engineering support to the City of Saluda to evaluate their water and sewer collection and distribution system, identify needed improvements, and prepare a Preliminary Engineering Report to support the City on their quest to fund the project.

The project will repair a water booster pump station, repaint, and refurbish the City’s water storage tank, repair a sewer pump station, approximately 4,000 linear feet of new water lines to replace older, defective lines, and approximately 5,200 linear feet of new gravity sewer line to replace defective lines. It is anticipated that the improvements will be designed and built over the next two-year period.
