PROJECT MANAGER – WATEr / Wastewater: Cary, NC
Progressive regional consulting engineering firm seeks highly motivated candidates for Project Manager position with an extensive project management background in water/wastewater for our Cary, North Carolina, office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Position duties encompass business development, leadership of projects, and project management. Typical project responsibilities will include developing project scope, fees for services, negotiation of contracts for agreements of engineering services, project budgeting, project scheduling and client communication and overseeing the completion of these tasks by appropriate staff. The position requires the application of engineering design techniques and principles on a variety of both public and private water and wastewater projects. Candidates will work closely with the senior project manager and marketing staff in the development and delivery of proposals and presentations. Candidates should have experience working with clients and ensuring client satisfaction at the highest levels.
Minimum Education and Licenses
A Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university and a minimum of 10 years experience in engineering with at least 4 years of progressive experience in the management of engineering projects and/or personnel is required. Position requires active PE licensure for the State of North Carolina or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire. A valid Driver’s license is also required.
